“The Little Bomba Dancer” by Sasha Vazquez.
Artist's Bio
Sasha Vázquez González is a Puerto Rican artist located in Maryland. In September 2023, she started selling her original artwork and prints at cultural events in Maryland under the name ‘Reflections of Puerto Rico”. Her art is based on her experiences living in Puerto Rico and the diaspora. Her pieces reflect cultural events, and the challenges Puerto Ricans experience inside and outside the island.
In her spare time, the artist and her family practice “bomba” and “plena”, traditional Puerto Rican rhythms. This has served as inspiration for her artwork.
As part of the artist's commitment to continue to promote Puerto Rican culture, a percentage of the sale proceeds are donated to the Brunswick non-profit Cultura Plenera.

“Our Only Way Through” by Joanne Rodgers
Artist's Bio
JoJo and Van Gogh is really the business name for me — Joanne Rodgers. I’m a painter, potter, graphic artist, and mother… and now a proud dachshund mom (yes, there will be photos). In my spare time, I create things — usually covered in paint, clay, or dog hair. Sometimes I even sell them.
Firmly opinionated, loudly anti-Nazi, and fueled by equal parts creativity and conviction. I believe deeply in human rights, diversity, and making space for every voice at the table.
If it’s handmade, heartfelt, or a little rebellious, I’m probably behind it.

“The Great Blue” by Hanna Debelius
Artist's Bio
Hannah has been a resident of Brunswick since 2022, drawn to the area by the Potomac River and C&O Canal. Balancing a career in climate change mitigation with spending time as a hobby-artist and mom, the through lines of her life are a dedication to community, lifelong enthusiasm for crafts, and love of nature, especially the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
About the work: The Great Blue Heron is set within the mountain landscape of the Potomac River. Each corner illustrates an arch of Brunswick's bridge as well as a White Trout Lily. The delicate lily is native to eastern North America, but within Maryland, only found along the banks of the Potomac. The stained glass aesthetic is a nod to Brunswick's history and many churches, and the railroad encompasses the entire piece, emphasizing the inextricable connection of the town to the watershed.

“Spiritual Surveyor” by Tim Cunningham
Artist's Bio
Tim began drawing as an extension of his love for DJing- more specifically, scratching records. He discovered a love for pen and ink by doodling on bar napkins and receipt paper, not trying to draw what his eyes could see, but rather letting the pen flow and establish a visual rhythm. Repetitive line patterns and shapes brought interesting balance and harmony to these experiments, and he found much joy and peace in the process of creating what felt like visual music. As curiosity grew, so did his discipline in learning and practicing traditional drawing and painting. Exploring new techniques and mediums allowed for even more experimentation and refinement. As his passion grew so did the size of his canvas, eventually transitioning from tiny napkins to the sides of buildings. All the while, he strives to remember the joy and creative curiosity that inspired him to embark on and continue this visual journey, and hopes it passes through the work to each viewer. Further, his work stands testament that anyone can become an artist if they truly want to be, as long as they cultivate the discipline and determination to do the work. Tim still resides where his journey began in Frederick, Maryland, and continues to explore new techniques, mediums, and materials he can use to apply his own creative spin on visual art.
